We review submissions before they appear publicly. We may approve, reject, or remove content at our discretion, without notice, for any reason including quality, accuracy, or policy concerns.

4. Licensing

All uploads are released under CC0 (Public Domain). No attribution is required to use images from Specimen Gallery, though credit is always appreciated.

5. Disclaimer

Specimen Gallery is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Taxonomic information may be inaccurate or outdated. Content is intended for educational and illustrative purposes. We are not responsible for how you use images from this gallery.

Specimen Gallery does not guarantee scientific accuracy of identifications. Labels and classifications may evolve through community contribution.

7. Platform license & open source

• — Specimen Gallery is an open, community-built platform.
• — The software is open source under the MIT License. View the code on GitHub.
• — Specimen Gallery does not claim ownership over user-submitted content. All submissions are released under CC0 (Public Domain).
• — The aggregation and presentation of specimens is provided "as is" as a visual reference resource. We make no guarantees regarding completeness, taxonomic accuracy, or fitness for any specific scientific or commercial use.

8. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Specimen Gallery. By using this site, you confirm you meet this requirement.

9. Privacy

What we collect:

• — Images you upload
• — Optional attribution name you provide
• — Basic site analytics (pages visited, referrer)
• — IP addresses in server logs (automatically deleted after 30 days)

What we DON'T do:

• — Sell your data
• — Track you across other sites
• — Require accounts or emails to browse

Cookies:

We use minimal cookies for site functionality. No advertising cookies.
